Community lessons: No refunds or rescheduling for missed sessions. Tutor cancellations will be rescheduled.
5. Student Conduct
To ensure a positive and productive learning environment, all students are expected to:
Demonstrate respectful behaviour during all lessons.
Attend all scheduled sessions punctually and consistently.
Participate fully in lessons and group activities.
Complete and submit all assigned homework by the requested deadline.
Communicate proactively if they experience any difficulties with tasks or attendance.
For lessons involving children, ensure that a responsible adult is available nearby or has provided written consent for participation.
Follow any additional guidelines set by the hosting community centre (for in-person lessons).
Students are expected to complete all work independently and must not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (such as ChatGPT, translation apps, or automated writing software) to complete assignments, homework, or speaking tasks unless explicitly authorised by the tutor.
The aim of tuition is to help students develop their own language skills and confidence. Using AI to produce work undermines this learning process.
Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their child’s technology use during lessons and homework completion to ensure these guidelines are followed.
If AI use is detected, the tutor reserves the right to withhold feedback or request the work be redone to maintain the integrity of the programme. The parent or guardian will be informed so that appropriate support and guidance can be provided at home.
